We’re looking for a DevOps/LAMP to Node Developer to work as part of the Technical and Strategy team, to scope, design, build and maintain production environments in AWS and other cloud providers.

The DevOps/LAMP to Node developer is a 2-fold role, with multiple career paths.  20-30% of your time will be playing a key role in designing, deploying and maintaining mission critical client (and some in-house) cloud-based systems and solutions. DevOps / Cloud Engineer will be responsible for performing duties such as cloud readiness assessments, AWS architecture design, systems evaluation, systems analysis, AWS infrastructure operations, optimization, change and configuration management, and many other related tasks. 20% of your time will be spent on Business analysis and infrastructure. 30% will be spend on continuously evaluating and improving our development process and practices. This includes leading integration of new frameworks, as well as growing our node capabilities


  • Scope, design, build and maintain infrastructure on AWS
  • Deploy, test and document development, pre-production, and production environments
  • Write scripts to automate operations and server management
  • Maintain existing tools for monitoring, notifications, trending, and analysis
  • Investigating reported / suspected outage issues, documenting issues, resolution, maintaining a knowledge base of known issues and remedies
  • Document current and future configuration processes and policies
  • Provide escalation support and expertise to incident management processes involving client AWS/Cloud Infrastructures or related issues
  • Recommending and performing cloud cost analysis, optimizations, and resource planning for production environments
  • Train and mentor future Junior Cloud Engineers

Skills And Qualifications

  • Experience with most, if not all of the following components of AWS: VPC, EC2, ELB, EBS, Route53, S3/Glacier, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, IAM, Redshift, DirectConnect, RDS, SNS, SQS, Lambda, AWS CloudWatch (and other automation services), Fluent in AWS CLI.
  • Fluent in Linux administration (RedHat/CentOS/Amazon/Apache/Tomcat/Oracle), shell scripting (BASH), and services and applications (NGINX, MongoDB, Elastic Beanstalk, etc.)
  • Experience in architecting network and server solutions
  • Experience with high availability and scalability in AWS and other virtual containers
  • Experience with cloud cost analysis, optimizations, and resource planning
  • LAMP a must
  • Desire to learn node a must

Preferred Qualifications/Certifications:

  • AWS(AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred)
  • Additional cloud or networking certifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in cloud engineering and enterprise cloud deployments
  • At least 3 years of dev/sys ops development experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent years of experience
