BC Ferries and Idea Rebel partnered to redesign the world’s second largest ferry operation’s website and mobile app. The strategic alliance brought together teams from all around the world to engage in this special project for one common goal, to build the best digital travel portal experience.
The idea was to develop a world class consumer focused booking system for BC Ferries. We engaged the entire Idea Rebel strategic team for in depths Strategy, User Experience, Project Management, and Design. The goal was to develop a simple flow for all use cases of the BC Ferries passengers, from booking new sailings to managing full trips and account information.

Personalized travel preferences
Set up travel preferences for the routes you frequently travel to quickly book sailings and check schedules and current conditions. Give your preferences nicknames, set departure and arrival terminals, then add passenger and vehicle details on bookable routes.
Book faster with Express Book
A new feature introduced to save you time and make booking simpler. After you enter your trip details, select “Express book now” to select the next available sailing and quickly jump to the fare selection screen. After selecting a fare type, complete payment using your saved payment information.
